Every year our team in Bangalore visits the local universities to scout for outstanding young talent, and in 2015, they found a diamond.
Rupam Das is a HR Support Team Leader at XCD, but back then he was busy studying for a master’s in computer application at the M S Ramaiah Institute of Technology.
As far back as he can remember, Rupam was always fascinated by computers, that something so small could be programmed to achieve so many different tasks. He took additional classes at school, and when it came to his path into further education, he knew exactly what he wanted to do.
“My passion has now become my greatest asset,” he says.
As a key member in our customer support team, Rupam uses his formidable product knowledge to solve support tickets by tracking bugs with almost superhuman speed.
“Sometimes, I’ve gone home worrying about the open cases we have to solve the next day,” says Mohammad Saifuddin his support team leader. “Only to arrive in the morning to find Rupam has already resolved them.”
As the ‘go-to’ man for any Leave-related issues, Rupam attributes his four-year ascent to ‘rockstar’ status in our support team to the dedication and focus instilled in him by his father, who he describes as his ‘guru’.
“This is a great technology to work with, and after four years I still always look forward to learning new things,” he says. “But it’s the team here, the interaction and banter, that makes it a special place.”
